Abstract
This Article analyzes the representation of women in horror films, focusing on three fundamental tropes: Good for Her, Abject Woman and Deidealized Mother. Through a theoretical review and a comparative film analysis, it explores how the horror genre configures images that simultaneously subvert and reproduce gender stereotypes. The historical evolution of these tropes and their cultural impact are examined, with the aim of contributing to the discussion on the construction of female identity in the audiovisual field.
Resumen
Este artículo analiza la representación de la mujer en el cine de terror, focalizándose en tres tropos fundamentales: Good for Her, Mujer Abyecta y Madre Desidealizada. A través de una revisión teórica y un análisis fílmico comparativo, se explora cómo el género del terror configura imágenes que simultáneamente subvierten y reproducen estereotipos de género. Se examina la evolución histórica de estos tropos y su impacto cultural, con el objetivo de contribuir a la discusión sobre la construcción de la identidad femenina en el ámbito audiovisual.
