Guide for the preparation, submission, and publication of digital books with a seal of scientific quality.

1. Editorial Policy

Entropía Educativa publishes research results books, academic essays, and compilations that contribute significantly to the field of education, technology, and digital humanities. We seek original, unpublished works that are not being simultaneously submitted to another publisher.

Our catalog prioritizes topics such as:

  • Pedagogical innovation and digital didactics.
  • Social impact of emerging technologies.
  • Cultural studies and network society.
  • Educational policies and inclusion.

Manuscript Prep.

Before submitting your proposal, ensure your manuscript complies with the following basic structure:

General Structure

  • Cover: Provisional title, full names of authors, institutional affiliation, ORCID, and email.
  • Abstract: Maximum 250 words in Spanish and English.
  • Keywords: 5 to 7 standardized descriptors (UNESCO Thesaurus).
  • Body Text: Introduction, Numbered Chapters, Conclusions.
  • References: Complete list of cited sources.

Extension

Complete books: Between 80 and 250 pages (approximately 30,000 to 80,000 words).

Book chapters: Between 15 and 25 pages.

Manuscripts that do not comply with citation standards will be returned without passing to peer review.

APA 7th Edition Citation Standards

All citations and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) manual, 7th edition. The use of bibliographic managers such as Zotero or Mendeley is recommended.

Technical Aspects of the File

  • Format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or compatible. PDFs are not accepted for the editing phase.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 points.
  • Spacing: 1.5 lines.
  • Margins: 2.54 cm on all sides.
  • Tables and Figures: Must be numbered, titled, and cited in the text. Images must also be sent in high-quality attached files (300 dpi).

4. Peer Review Process

To guarantee academic quality, Entropía Educativa uses a double-blind peer review system. This means that neither the authors know the identity of the evaluators, nor the evaluators that of the authors.

Preliminary Review: The editorial committee verifies compliance with basic guidelines and thematic relevance (1-2 weeks).

Expert Evaluation: Two external academic peers are assigned to evaluate quality, originality, and scientific rigor (4-8 weeks).

Verdict: The author is informed if the work is: Accepted, Accepted with changes (major or minor), or Rejected.

5. Ethics and Copyright

Authors must sign a letter of originality and assignment of economic rights for publication. Entropía Educativa adheres to the editorial ethics standards of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Plagiarism Detection: All manuscripts are submitted to anti-plagiarism software (Turnitin). A maximum of 20% similarity will be tolerated, provided it is correctly cited.
